Apprentices in this trade will learn how to install and repair locks and related equipment.  Apprentices will acquire skills and knowledge in quality procedures and systems and planning, engineering measurement, computations and computer technology plus the technical skills and knowledge required by lockmsiths.

(ICF) denotes an Industry Curriculum Framework Course. An optional HSC exam in these courses is available to contribute to the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank.

The Board of Studies will add units of competency that are listed in the school-based component of a students training plan which are not currently available in the relevant ICF SBA pathway.

To facilitate this schools are asked to complete the Application for inclusion of additional unit(s) of competency to the SBA pathway of an ICF form.
