This course is for people who want to work in the parks and gardens sector of the horticulture industry as a horticulturist, municipal gardener or similar.

You will learn about pest management, plant nutrition, soils, turf establishment, and environmental work practices. As well as skills in arboriculture, chemicals use, irrigation, landscaping, parks and gardens, and machinery operation.

(ICF) denotes an Industry Curriculum Framework Course. An optional HSC exam in these courses is available to contribute to the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank.

The Board of Studies will add units of competency that are listed in the school-based component of a students training plan which are not currently available in the relevant ICF SBA pathway.

To facilitate this schools are asked to complete the Application for inclusion of additional unit(s) of competency to the SBA pathway of an ICF form.
